Our History
Our Beginning
The Ridpath family has a long history with insurance, serving the New River Valley and communities of Radford and Pulaski County since 1960. Owner Greg Ridpath’s father, Benny Ridpath, was among the first established agents for Nationwide in Radford and was passionate about serving his community with integrity.
The Legacy Continues
Greg shared his father’s passion and became an Associate agent under his father in 1989 after graduating from Virginia Tech. Greg branched out on his own in 1991, continuing the tradition of integrity and superior customer service that he and his father had worked so hard to build.
Today
Ridpath Insurance continues that tradition today as a full-service, independent insurance agency with offices in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. We are licensed to write insurance in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Iowa, Ohio, and Tennessee. With access to over 100 insurance carriers, we help our members find coverage that fits their needs and protects what matters most.
